Calendula can be grown in India during the winter season, from November to February, when the weather is cooler and less humid. It is best to plant calendula seeds in a well-draining soil mix, in a sunny location that receives at least 6 hours of sunlight a day.

In cooler regions of India such as the northern states, calendula can also be grown during the spring season, from March to May, when temperatures are mild and the weather is less hot. However, in hotter regions such as the southern states, calendula may not do well during the summer season due to high temperatures and humidity.
